Malcolm Earl McDonald, a resident of Madison county all his life, died Monday, Feb. 2, 1953, at Memorial hospital in Winterset, as result of a heart attack. He was 59 years of age and died after a few hours illness.
Mr. McDonald was born in this county Dec. 15, 1893. On March 10, 1951, he was married to Mary Cooter. His active life was spent in farming.
He was a member of the Methodist church, and was affiliated with the Masonic lodge and Eastern Star.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Marion McDonald of Winterset; Kenneth McDonald of St. Charles; and Raymond McDonald at home; two daughters, Phyllis and Ann of Des Moines; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Corgie Bennett of Earlham and Mrs. Mary Kitchell and Mrs. Edna Clark of Winterset; two brothrs, Robert and Wallace McDonald of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Winterset Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. John Latta, and the Rev. Glenn Parrott. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
