Eva Maxine Cooper, 84, died of heart failure Aug. 1, 1998, at the Regency Care center in Norwalk.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 3, at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset with Pastor Jon Gaul officiating. Burial was at Lorimor cemetery.
Eva Cooper was born June 18, 1914, to W. H. and Edna M. (Routh) Collins of Lorimor. She married Blair W. Cooper on Jan. 1, 1939, at the "Little Brown Church" in Nashua. Eva, a retired homemaker, had been a resident of Madison County since 1952. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America, First United Methodist Church of Winterset and the "Kitchen Band." She also was a senior citizen center volunteer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, one sister and one granddaughter.
She is survived by one son, Ronald W. Cooper (wife Dianna) of Norwalk; one daughter, Linda L. Crabtree (husband Dennis) of Des Moines; one sister Ann Lee of Des Moines; four grandchildren; and 11 stepgrandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
