Lois Nichols, DeSoto

Lois I. Nichols, 77, of DeSoto died April 4, 2005 at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset following a lengthy illness.

Graveside services were held Monday, April 11, at Oakland Cemetery in DeSoto with Pastor Jim Howland officiating.

Lois Nichols was born Dec. 9, 1927, to Claude and Mildred (Wigton) Monagon of rural Peru. On Sept. 9, 1946, she married Donald Nichols, They resided in DeSoto throughout their married life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and a sister.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Greif of DeSoto and Connie Carter of Bevington; a sister, Marion Hood of Winterset, and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

Arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
