FLORENCE FREY, Winterset

Services for Florence Frey, 96, Winterset, who died May 6, 1990, at the Bethesda Care Center where she resided, were held Wed., May 9, at the Collins Funeral Home with elder Larry Pearl officiating. Burial was a the Winterset Cemetery.

Born November 9, 1893 in Madison County, she was the daughter of Benjamin F. and Alma Evans Grewell. A homemaker, she had spent most of her life in Madison County and her youth and teen years in Hamilton County.

She married Homer A. Frey in Madison County on March 3, 1917. She was a charter member of the Hoosier Prairie Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Louise Welty of Winterset; a daughter-in-law, Ruth M. Frey of Winterset; grandchildren, Gary Frey, Duane Frey and Karen L. Elderkin, all of Winterset; great-grandchildren, Bryan, Jennifer and Joshua Frey and Adam Elderkin, all of Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, two brothers and a sister.
