Marjorie G. Frey, 89, died of a heart attack Dec. 28, 1998, at Integrated Health Services in Winterset.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at the First United Presbyterian Church in Winterset with Dr. Mary Pope officiating. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery.
Marjorie Frey was born Sept. 14, 1909, in Madison County to George W. and Clara E. (Jackson) Frey. A 1928 graduate of Earlham High School, she was a lifelong resident of Madison County, moving to Winterset in 1951. Marjorie had been a rural school teacher, Deputy County Superintendent of Schools, a social worker and, prior to her retirement in 1975, a bookkeeper at Union State Bank for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by one sister, one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law.
She is survived by two brothers, Russell J. Frey and Richard C. Frey (wife Maxine) both of Winterset, and several nieces and nephews.
