Judge R. Michael Breen, Houston, Tex.

Funeral services for Judge R. Michael Breen, 67, a former Winterset resident, were held Mon. Oct. 15 at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Houston, Texas. Judge Breen died October 11 in Houston.

Raymond Michael Breen was born October 25, 1922 in Winterset and resided here until he graduated from high school. He attended Dartmouth College, Naval Midshipman School, the University of Iowa Law School and the University of Houston. He practiced law in Houston between 1952-1966, and served as a municipal court judge from 1966 to 1987. He was awarded the Naval Letter of Commendation and three Battle Stars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Surviving are his wife, Annette Breen of Houston; a daughter, Lynn Pattie of Los Angeles, Cal.; five sons, Kelly, Kevin, Timothy, Casey and Clancy, all of Houston; a sister, Mae Beeler of Winterset; grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Burial was at Forest Park Westheimer, Calvary Cemetery, Houston.
