Mrs. Dean Alexander

Effie May Tracy was born at Winterset, Ia., Sept. 25, 1880 and died at her home at Fox, Oregon, Dec. 1, 1909.

Her life was spent in Madison county with the exception of the last year. She was married to Dean Alexander, Jan. 7th, 1909 and with her husband went at once to their home in the west.

She was converted in very early life, and united with the Winterset Christian Church, of which she was an honored and loved member at the time of her death. She lived an exemplary life, unselfish, always trying to do good and always pained for the wrongs done by others.

She leaves to mourn her loss, a husband and infant son, her father and mother, one sister and three brothers. She realized she was going to leave her dear ones, and was ready and willing to go. Among her last words were the words of the Savior: "Thy will, not mine, be done." She was a loving wife and daughter, and to know her was to love her.

The funeral services were held at the Hooten School house, conducted by Rev. E. E. Bennett, of Des Moines.

The remains were laid to rest in the Hooten cemetery. The sorrowing ones have the sympathy of the entire community.
