Nelson Welty Family Stricken With Dreaded Disease

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Welty of Webster township has been sorely bereft in the death of their little child, a boy one and one half years old, who died after a week's illness from infantile paralysis. Another child is ill with the same disease, but is reported as somewhat improved. Three physicians were called in the attempt to save the child's life and everything possible done to arrest the progress of the disease.

The family are now under quarantine with no one being permitted to attend the funeral, which was held at Wight Cemetery, last Friday. There is certainly occasion for the deepest sympathy to the bereaved parents.

Note: John Alvin Welty, son of Nelson and Hulda Haupt Welty, born Feb. 26, 1913, died Sept. 18, 1914. Burial at Wight Cemetery.
