Margaret F. Jones, 84, of Winterset died April 6, 2005, at Winterset Care Center North.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 8, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. Burial was at Peru Cemetery.

Margaret Jones was born Nov. 11, 1920, in Winterset to Oliver and Blanche (Myers) Hendricks. On July 19, 1944, she married James Jones in Bakersfield, Calif. Margaret was a lifelong area resident-living south of Indianola for 30 years, then moving to Winterset in 1993. She was a charter member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Diane Jones; and three sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by one son, James N. Jones Jr. of West Des Moines; one daughter, Marilyn Brommel of St. Charles; and five grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 18 stepgreat-grandchildren and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
