FRED WARREN Dies, Age 57

Fred L. Warren, well-known general contractor and builder, died of a heart attack last Wednesday morning, April 12, 1972, at his home in Winterset. He was 57 years of age.

Mr. Warren had been a resident of the Winterset community for 26 years, coming here from Delta, Iowa.

He was a native of Perry, where he was born Nov. 18, 1914, a son of Fred R. and Ellen Gilenquist Warren. He was married at Perry Oct. 7, 1936, to Laurrene Robinson, who survives him.

Mr. Warren was a member of the Methodist church. He was a thirty-second degree Mason, and a member of the Associated General Contractors of Iowa.

He is survived by two sons, Fred Warren, Jr., of Mt. Vernon, O., and Richard Warren of West Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. David Kuhns of Winterset and Joyce Read of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren; a brother, Paul Warren of Los Angeles, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Glover of Watsonville, Calif.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the First United Methodist church of Winterset, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Newton Coughenour. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery, with Masonic ritual at the grave-side.
