Death of Mrs. Carl Van Meter

Word was received here of the death of Mrs. Carl Van Meter, Monday evening, at the home of her son, Will Van Meter, in Des Moines. Mrs. Van Meter had been ill approximately two weeks. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Christian church in De Soto and burial in the De Soto cemetery.

Mrs. Van Meter was a sister of J. H. Pyers of Winterset. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Julia King of Woodward, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Wayne Ford of Seneca, Kansas; and two children, Will and Mrs. Vivian Davison, also of Des Moines.

Note: burial was in the Oakland Cemetery, DeSoto, Iowa.
