Death of A. B. Cummins

A. B. Cummins, an old resident of Monroe township, died at the home of his brother, William Cummins, in Winterset Saturday morning, Dec. 4.

Mr. Cummins had been afflicted with dropsy, thus being in very poor health for a long time. For over a year he had been cared for at the home of his brother in Winterset, various relatives assisting to make him comfortable until death came.

Mr. Cummins, who was 66 years of age, came with his parents to Iowa when he was a lad, and made his home in Monroe township for the remainder of his life, with the exception of the past year.

Rev. George D. Rogers conducted funeral services Sunday afternoon and burial took place in Monroe township cemetery.

Albert B. Cummins

Albert B. Cummins was born in Lagrange county, Indiana, September 14, 1854 and passed away December 4, 1920 aged 66 years, 2 months and 21 days.

He came to Madison county, Iowa with his parents in 1865. He was a member of a family of eight children. William Cummins, with whom he made his home during the last year of his sickness, is the only surviving member of this family.

Mr. Cummins was not identified with the church but was a believer in the religion of the Lord Jesus Christ.
