Jacob "Jake" Huff, Winterset

Services for Jake Huff, 83, Winterset, who died July 7 at the Creston hospital, were held Monday, July 10, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Noll officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Mr. Huff was born in Audubon County, Iowa on July 27, 1905, the son of Harvey and Rosa M. Thomas Huff. He was a farmer and well driller and he was married to Elsie Campfield on April 14, 1929 at Greenfield.

The couple moved to Winterset in 1965 and he continued to be active on the farm purchased by his son. Mr. Huff was an active member of the Winterset Seventh Day Adventist Church for several years.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Virginia and husband, Joe Chaffee of Kingville, Mo.; sons, Dr. Irwin Huff and wife Carolyn of Bismarck, N.D., Larry and wife Sharon of Winterset; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Preceding him death were his parents, four brothers and five sisters.
