DEATH OF MRS. MILLESON

Mrs. W. H. Milleson died at her home on East Court avenue, Friday morning, September 21st, after an extended illness. Mrs. Milleson became ill this spring, and went to a hospital for an operation. Her condition was serious, and she gradually became worse.

Mrs. Milleson, who was 59 years of age, was a daughter of Edward T. and Catherine Daft. She was born at Farmington, Illinois, but came to Iowa in 1877. She grew to womanhood near Prairie City, and here she was married to W. H. Milleson, February 19, 1901. They are the parents of one daughter, Helen. Twenty-four years ago, the family moved to Winterset, and here they have since resided. Mrs. Milleson was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and of the Altruist class. She also affiliated with the Rebekahs, Women’s Relief Corps and Columbian club.

Her passing leaves bereaved her husband, her daughter, her father, E. T. Daft, and one sister, Mrs. Wm. M. Johnson of Prairie City.

The funeral services were held at the Methodist church, Sunday, September 23, at 1:30 o’clock, conducted by a friend of the family, Rev. Jackson Giddens, of Mount Pleasant. Interment was at Waveland cemetery at Prairie City, at 4:30 o’clock.

MRS. MILLESON DIES
SERVICES SUNDAY

Mrs. W. H. Milleson died at her home Friday morning after an illness of about two months. She was well known in Winterset, having been affiliated with the Methodist Episcopal church, the Altruist class, Rebekah lodge, Woman’s Relief Corps and the Columbian club.

She was Lydia Belle Daft, daughter of Edward T., and Catherine Daft, born October 25, 1874, at Farmington, Illinois. The family came to Prairie City, Iowa in 1877 and there she was married to W. H. Milleson February 19, 1901. One daughter, Helen, was born to them.

Twenty-four years ago the family moved to their present home in Winterset where they have made a great many friends.

She is survived by her husband and daughter, Helen, her father, E. T. Daft, and her sister, Mrs. William M. Johnson of Prairie City, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Sunday at 1:30 conducted by a dear friend, the Rev. Jackson Giddens of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Winterset. Interment was in Waveland cemetery at Prairie City.
