Funeral services for Lenore Ford, 86, were held Tues., Feb. 5 at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. She died February 2, 1991, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
A lifelong Madison County resident, she was born June 8, 1904 to John Wesley and Mary Viola (Hircock) Beem. She married Fred J. Ford November 26, 1925 and they spent most of their married life farming in Madison County, moving to Winterset in 1945.
She was a homemaker, a member of the First Christian Church in Winterset, Christian Women's Fellowship, Holliwell Happy Club and a lifetime member of Winterset Women's Bowling Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, one brother and a daughter.
Surviving relatives include three sons, Frederick and wife, Shirley,and Henry and wife, Bonnie, all of West Des Moines and Robert and wife, Margaret, of Nampa, Idaho; a twin sister, Lorraine Jamison of Winterset; a sister, Mary Alexander of Des Moines; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
