September 28, 1960ROSS JAMISON Killed in Farm Tractor Accident
Ross Jamison of Scott township was killed Tuesday afternoon when the tractor he was operating overturned in a field near his farm home, south of Winterset.
Ross R. Jamison was 68 years of age at his death, and had been a resident of Madison county for 47 years. He was born Sept. 22, 1894, at Gladstone, Ill., a son of Samuel R. and Eliza Findley Jamison.
Mr. Jamison's first wife, Minnie, preceded him in death. He was married to Lorraine Beem of Winterset on Nov. 15, 1936, at Nashua.
His life was spent in farming. He was a member of the Winterset Presbyterian church.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Viola Williams of Earlham; a brother, Paul Jamison of Winterset; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Yoder of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Marie Boyd of Winterset and Mrs. Rose Oliver of Oakland, Calif.; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Winterset Presbyterian church, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. John E Fink. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery
