Esther C. Williams of Davenport died Saturday, Sept. 5, 1981, at Americana Nursing Home in Davenport. She was 81 years old.
She was born Dec. 24, 1899 in Marion, Iowa. On Sept. 5, 1923, she married George T. Williams in Winterset.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Gerald E. Williams of Homewood, Ill.; a daughter, Marjorie R. Williams of New York; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 8, at First Christian Church in Davenport. Graveside services were also conducted at Winterset Cemetery on Wednesday morning, Sept. 9, Rev. David Livingston officiating.
