Memorial services for John Oldham, 78, were held Fri., May 31 at the Worthington United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nova Wells officiating. He died May 29 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Madison County to Leslie and Mabel Oldham on March 7, 1913. He worked at the Madison County Sale Barn for over 30 years, was a farmer, then went on to do custodial work at Drake University. He was a member of the Worthington United Methodist Church, Farm Bureau, Winterset Bridge Club and was a great supporter of all Winterset sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister.
Survivors include two sons, Craig Oldham of Johnston, and David Oldham of Des Moines; a daughter, Susan Hollen of Winterset; and eight grandchildren.
The body was cremated and the ashes given back to the family. Memorials may be made to the Worthington United Methodist Church.
