H. Claude Peer, Earlham

H. Claude Peer, 84, of Earlham, died Oct. 30, 1994 at the Madison County Hospital in Winterset. Graveside funeral services were held Nov. 2 at the Earlham Cemetery with the Rev. Harold Koughn of the Earlham United Methodist Church officiating.

He was born Aug. 4, 1910 in Weston to Harry C. and Lois (Snyder) Peer. He married Dorothy Longenecker on Feb. 1, 1942. He was an attorney and a member of the Earlham Masons, American Bar Assoc., and the Madison Bar Assoc. He was a veteran of the U.S Army Air Force and had served in WW II.

He was preceded in death by one son.

Surviving relatives include his wife; one son, Stephen J. Peer and wife Doris of Suwanee, Ga,; one sister, Margrette Nelson and husband Stanley of Earlham; one grandson; and one step-grandson.
