ARMINA BROWNELL Dies at 91 Years

Mrs. Armina Brownell of Winterset, member of a well-known family in this community, died Wednesday, July 10, 1968, at Memorial hospital here. She was 91 years of age.

Mrs. Brownell was a life-time resident of Madison county. She was the former Armina Bertholf, daughter of James and Harriet Murphey Bertholf, and was born in Lincoln township Sept. 17, 1877. She was married Sept. 19, 1900, at the parsonage of the Winterset Baptist church, to Fred E. Brownell. His death occurred in 1955.

Mrs. Brownell was a member of the Ord New Hope church in Lincoln township but attended the Methodist church in Winterset as long as her health permitted. She belonged to Current Topic and Clover clubs, and the Madison County Antique association.

Nearest surviving relatives are two nieces, Mrs. Harriet Rinehart of Branson, Mo., and Mrs. Jane Treece of San Gabriel, Calif.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the First United Methodist church in Winterset, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Everett K. Burham. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
