Everett Hauschildt, Greenfield

Everett Lee Hauschildt, 57, of Greenfield died Jan. 5, 2003, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at the First Presbyterian Church in Adair. Visitation will be held from noon until 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 8) at Mullen Funeral Home in Adair, with family present from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be at Canby Cemetery, Adair County.

Everett Hauschildt was born Sept. 4, 1945, to Harold and Viola (Marsch) Hauschildt of Mapleton. He grew up and attended school in Mapleton. He later moved to Greenfield, where he attended and graduated from high school. Everett was a United States Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. A lifelong carpenter, he had lived in Earlham and Winterset before moving back to Greenfield in 1997.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Royce Hauschildt.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy, of Greenfield; four sons, Brad Hauschildt of Marshalltown, Eric Hauschildt of Dexter, Clint Hauschildt of Waterloo and Brett Hauschildt at home; a daughter, Malissa Marquart of Winterset; a stepson, Rodney Kern of Dallas Center; a stepdaughter, Kellie O’Neil of Lorimor; three brothers, Don Hauschildt of Cape Coral, Fla., and Randy Hauschildt and Wayne Hauschildt, both of Earlham; five sisters, Marilyn Dollar of St. Joseph, Mo., Janet Kamm and Julie Coffman, both of Waukee, Sharon Hauschildt of Earlham and Marsha Whitaker of Van Meter; nine grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
