Florence Molln, Winterset

Florence Helen Molln, 97, formerly of Greenfield, died June 28, 2000, at Integrated Health Services in Winterset where she had resided for the past six years.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 1, at the First Presbyterian Church in Greenfield with the Rev. Joycelyn Basler, Mr. Ron Havens and Mr. Dennis Molln officiating. Burial was at Greenfield Cemetery.

Florence Molln was born Nov. 27, 1902, in Grand River Township, Adair County, to Leonard S. and Maude E. (Phillips) Roberts. She attended rural schools, graduating from Greenfield High School in 1922. She taught in a rural school for a year. On Dec. 25, 1922, she married Isaac Molln, a local farmer. Florence was a member of the Federated Garden Club and the First Presbyterian Church in Greenfield. She also had been a 4-H leader for many years and Adair County 4-H chairman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, a brother and three grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Elberta Jean Havens (husband Marion) of Greenfield; two sons, Roland Dean Molln (wife Betty) of Winterset and Dale L. Molln (wife Doris) of Greenfield; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield.
