Natalie Alberta Burd, 93, of Winterset died Jan. 2, 2005 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 8, at the First Christian Church in Winterset with the Rev. Dr. Bobby Dickerson officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
Natalie Burd was born July 27, 1911, in Jasper County to William J. and Marie (DeReus) Honnold. She was a graduate of Truro High School. On Dec. 16, 1929, she married Clair O. Burd in Creston. A homemaker, she had spent most of her life in Winterset. Natalie was a member of the First Christian Church in Winterset and CWF.
She was preceded in death by her husband; six brothers, Vern, Res, Jessie, Ivan, Willis and John; four sisters, Grace, Leona, Esther and Ethel; and three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one great-great-grandchild.
She is survived by two daughters, Melba Brown of Des Moines and Carmen Galleguillos of Barling, Ark; and eight grandchildren and several great-grandchiildren and great-great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Mercy Hospice in Johnston or the First Christian Church in Winterset.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
