Nola Fay Huglin, 87, of Truro,died June 9, 2004, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Graveside services were held Saturday, June 12, at Young Cemetery in rural Truro with Pastor James Patrick officiating.

Nola Huglin was born April 22, 1917, in Clark County to Harrison and Velma (Jones) Muselman. She graduated from Truro High School in 1934. On June 28, 1938, she was united in marriage to Dale Fred Huglin in Bethany, Mo. A homemaker and farm wife, Nola resided in the St. Charles area for all of her married life. She had been a volunteer at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation in Winterset. She also was a member of the Truro United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school, Bible school and sang in the church choir.

She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant grandson, John David Huglin; a sister, Ruth Irene Muselman; and a brother, Benjamin Harrison Muselman Jr.

She is survived by one son, Billie Dean Huglin of Truro; and one granddaughter, four step-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren and three step-great-great-grandchildren.

Nola Fay Muselman Huglin, daughter of Velma Jones Muselman and Harrison Muselman, was born on a farm in Clarke County, IA on April 22, 1917 and departed this life on June 9, 2004 at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset, IA at the age of 87 years.

At the age of two, Nola moved with her mother and sister, after her father's death, to live with her Grandma and Grandpa Jones. She attended Truro High School, graduating in 1934. She joined the Truro Methodist Church at age 13. She taught Sunday School, Bible School, and sang in the Church Choir for many years.

Nola was united in marriage to Dale Huglin on June 28, 1938 in Bethany, Missouri; to this union, one son, Billie Dean, was born on March 5, 1943.

Nola was a farm wife and helped Dale on the farm. She enjoyed reading books and embroidery; she was a volunteer at West Bridge Care Center in Winterset.

Nola was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dale; infant grandson, John David Huglin; sister, Ruth Irene Muselman; and brother, Benjamin Harrison Muselman Jr.

She leaves to mourn her passing, son, Billie Dean Huglin and wife Carole and one granddaughter, Billie Jo Huglin, all of Truro, Iowa; 4 step grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; 3 step great great grandchildren; and many good friends and neighbors.

Arrangements were handled by Kale Funeral Homes of Osceola and Truro.
