Wednesday, March 28, 1917Edward H. Pratt of Lincoln township, died at his home on March 23rd at the age of 44 years. Mr. Pratt was a victim of typhoid-pneumonia.
The burial services were held on Sunday with interment in Winterset.
He was married to Miss Eva Butler in 1899, who with three children, Stella, Orville and Helen, survive him. Mrs. E. H. Paullin of Winterset and Mrs. Wm. Luckhart of Topperush, Wash., his sisters, Wm. Pratt, a brother and his aged mother are also still living.
The family are deserving of additional sympathy in that they were bereft of two daughters, May and Edna, only a short time ago.

Edward H. Pratt was born March 4, 1863 and departed this life on March 23, 1917.
On December 9, 1899 he was untied in marriage to Miss Cora Butler. To this union were born five children, four daughters and one son, May and Edna dying in young womanhood. Those still living are Stella, Orvill and Helen.
He leaves to mourn his loss a faithful wife, his children, and aged mother, two sisters and one brother, William Pratt and Mrs. E. H. Paullin, of Winterset, and Mrs. William Luckhart, Of Topperish, Washington, besides other relatives and friends.
Mr. Pratt was a kind, loving husband, a faithful friend and a good neighbor.
