Death Occurred Here Monday After Long Illness, at Age of 64 Years.
Lloyd I. Hoxie, a well-known resident of the Winterset community most of his life, died Monday, July 12, after, after an extended illness. His death occurred at Memorial hospital. He was 64 years of age.
Mr. Hoxie was a son of Isaac T. and May Howard Hoxie. He was born May 18, 1901, at Waterloo, but had lived here the last 58 years.
During his active life here he engaged in farming and trucking.
Survivors include a daugher, Mrs. Lois Bowlin of Kittredge, Colo., a brother, Eldon L. Hoxie of Potomac, Md., and a sister, Mrs. Grover Jordan of Downey, California.
Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home here, in charge of the Rev. Walter Samp of Winterset. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
