DOROTHY CROW Of Macksburg Dies

Mrs. Dorothy V. Crow of Macksburg, a well known business woman in that community, died Friday, March 17, 1967, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 68 years of age.

Mrs. Crow had retired about two years ago after 20 years as manager of the Macksburg branch office of the Union State Bank at Winterset.

She was a native of Adair county where she was born March 4, 1899. She was the former Dorothy Ridout, daughter of Clarence L. and Mary H. Brooks Ridout. She was married at Creston in 1915 to Walter Glenn Crow. They had made their home in Madison county for 51 years.

She had been a member of the First Methodist church at Macksburg since 1927.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Dean Crow of Des Moines; three grandchildren; four brothers Glen Ridout of California, Edward Ridout, Theadore Ridout and Dale Ridout, all of Des Moines; and six sisters, Mrs. Pearl Speer of Creston, Mrs. Opal Ronk of Des Moines, Mrs. Nora Downing of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Verle Clark of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Maxine Hoognaker and Mrs. Mildred Harrison of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the First Methodist church in Macksburg, conducted by the Rev. Walter A. Samp of Winterset. Burial was made in Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
