Mabel Dunbar, Winterset

Funeral services for Mabel Priscilla Dunbar, 93, were held, Fri. Oct. 2 at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Frank officiating. Mrs. Dunbar died at Bethesda Care Center on September 28, 1992. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

She was born in Minneapolis, Minn. on August 27, 1899, to William and Caroline (Mosemann) Garner. She married Ray Dunbar on October 27, 1917, in Minneapolis. She moved to Winterset in 1928 and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Crown Rebekah Lodge and the Royal Neighbors of America.

Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents and a son.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Clarence Dunbar and wife, Margaret of Clarence and William Dunbar of Des Moines; ten grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
