Marie E. Boyd, Winterset

Services for Marie E. Boyd, 93, Winterset, who died at the Madison County Memorial Hospital May 2, will be held Thursday, May 5,at 10 a.m. at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Alan Parker officiating. There will be a graveside service at the Bern Cemetery, Bern, Kan., at 3 p.m.

Born at Gladstone, Ill., Sept. 25, 1889, she was the daughter of Samuel and Eliza Jane Findley Jamison. She spent most of her life as a school teacher and practical nurse.

She married Guy H. Boyd June 26, 1913 in Winterset and had lived here since 1928. Recently, she was a resident of the Bethesda Care Center. Mrs. Boyd was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, the 60 plus Club, Presbyterian Women, and 90-plus Club at Bethesda.

Survivors include a son, Herbert of Knoxville; a brother, Paul Jamison of Winterset; a sister, Rose Oliver of Los Angeles; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, a son, a brother, and two sisters.
