MABEL CLAIRE BRICKER

Mabel Claire Bricker, the 12th child of Andrew Speer and Nancy Evans Speer, was born July 24, 1887 in Madison County, Iowa. She passed away at the Earlham Manor Care Center where she had lived about 10 years.

Mabel was a member of the Church of Christ of Earlham.

On March 2, 1910 she was united in marriage with Ralph Bricker, who preceded her in death. Four children were born to this union; Ila McClurg, of DeSoto, Russell Bricker, of Earlham, Hazel Harvey, of West Des Moines, and Melvin Bricker, of Earlham.

Those of her family who will miss her include her four children, eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted September 16, 1985 at the Church of Christ, Earlham, with Pastor Earl Menning officiating. Linda Applegate provided organ music. Pallbearers were Robert Slavens, Claude Beaman, Kenneth Bricker, Glenn Cline, Marion DeVault and Loyal Werts. Honoray pallbearers were Carl Blomquist and Merle Haselhuhn. Interment was in Penn Center Cemetery, Earlham, Iowa.
