Moody Greenfield, a former Madison County resident, died Monday, April 20, at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. He was 76 years of age.
Mr. Greenfield was born in Madison county on April 25, 1904, a son of James Ira and Mary Ellen Wilson Greenfield. He farmed in Madison county for many years, retiring in 1965.
He moved to Arkansas five years ago, and recently had made his home in Norwalk, Iowa. He was member of Northvale Southern Baptist Church in Harrison, Ark.
He was married to Norma Hann on May 24, 1930 at Winterset.
He is survived by his wife; one son, James of Norwalk; two daughters, Lillian Moore of Norwalk and Evelyn Brown of Tucson, Ariz.; one sister, Geneva Boyd of Winterset; nine grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Greenfield will be held at 3 p.m. this Thursday, April 23, from the First Baptist Church in Winterset. Officiating will be Rev. Phill Hall and Dr. Paul Hann.
Burial will be in the Peru cemetery.
