Death of an Aged Woman

Mrs. Sponn died Wednesday morning, the 21st inst., at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. Mc. Hockenberry of Jackson township. At the time of her death Mrs. Sponn was 91 years and 15 days old. Her husband, aged 88 survives her.

She was twice married. By her second, and surviving, husband she had no children. Her first husband was named Drake, and they were the ancestors of the families by that name in the western part of the county, and collateral branches, as the Foxs, Ullerys, and others. Her descendants number 9 children, 63 grand children, 60 great-grand children and 6 great-great-grand children.

It is rare, indeed, that five generations in a direct line are found to be living contemporaneously.
