The following particulars of the life of the late John Arnold have been furnished: He was born in Vienna, Austria, in the year 1857, came to America in 1874 he joined the German Evangelical church in Des Moines in 1885. In 1887 he came to Winterset, where he died March 3d, 1891, aged 34 years.

John Arnold who ran a restaurant on the east side last summer, died of cancer Tuesday evening. He had been sick for a long time and his death had been only a question of time. His funeral occurred today.
