GLEN "SAM" PACE Dies at 53 Years

Glen B. (Sam) Pace of Patterson, one of this community's most respected citizens, died Wednesday, April 2, 1969, at Memorial hospital in Winterset, after an illness of several months. He was 53 years of age.

Mr. Pace was born at Patterson Feb. 23, 1916, a son of Dennis M. and Nell Blosser Pace. He graduated from Patterson High school with the class of 1936, and served in the U. S. Armed Forces during World War II.

For 22 years he engaged in the grocery business at Patterson. For the past six years he had been employed by the Winterset Community school district.

He was a member of the Patterson Methodist church, and the Madison county Farm Bureau.

Mr. Pace was married Sept. 11, 1938, at Grimes, to Phyllis Wildin, who survives him. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Helen Vierling of Winterset and Mrs. Doris Garland of Kansas City, Mo.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Patterson United Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. James Louk. Burial was made in Mt. Pelier cemetery at Patterson.
