Edith Bell Shetterly, Winterset

Services for Edith Bell Shetterly, 90, Winterset, who died Oct. 6 at the Madison County Hospital, were held on Monday, Oct. 10 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Byron Ayers officiating. A graveside service was held at the Hartford Cemetery.

Born at Hartford Dec. 21, 1892, she was the daughter of Henry and Luvena Myrick Cain. A resident of the Care Center North, she had lived in Madison County since 1942 and was a member of the Methodist Church, the WSCS, Kitchen Band and Hillbilly Band. She married Harry Ralph Shetterly Aug. 16, 1911 at Des Moines.

Survivors include a son, Charles (Ed) Shetterly of Litteton, Colo,; daughters, Oda Bess Kramme of Woodland Hills, Calif., and Opal Wiggins of Winterset; 16 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons and a brother.
