EMMA WIGGINS OF WINTERSET DIES

Dies in Sleep Early Monday At Her Home in Winterset

Mrs. John Wiggins, a resident of Winterset since 1946, died in her sleep during the early morning of Monday, Feb. 7, at her home here. She was 76 years of age.

Mrs. Wigggins was the former Emma Agnes Woolery, daughter of Frank and Mary Cook Woolery. She was born at Van Meter, March 23, 1889. She was married there June 12, 1906, to John H. Wiggins. He preceded her in death in 1959.

Mrs. Wiggins had lived at DeSoto from the time of her marriage until 1946, when they moved to Winterset.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wiggins was preceded in death by an infant daughter. Survivors are a son, Virgil Wiggins of Winterset; four grandchildren; three great granddaughters, two sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 3 p.m. from the DeSoto Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Milton Lentz of Van Meter and the Rev. Everett K. Burham of Winterset. Burial was to be made in the Thornton cemetery at Van Meter.
