Funeral Services for Aged Resident Were Held Tuesday Evening
Andrew Abrahams, about 85 years of age, died at the Madison county farm Monday.
Mr. Abrahams had spent 30 years in Madison county, working principally as a farm laborer. Born in Ohio, the son of Joseph and Annie Abrahams, he came to Iowa with his parents when he was 4 years old.
He never married, and his only near relatives surviving are his sister, Mrs. Mary Decker, a niece, Mrs. William Duff of Anita, and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday evening from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis of Winterset. The body was taken to Adair for burial.

Page 4Andrew Abrams, son of Joseph Abrams, was born in Ohio, more than 85 years ago, and came to Iowa with his parents when about the age of four.
There were nine children in the family and only one sister now remains, Mrs. Thomas Decker of Mitchellville, who at this time is quite ill. Mr. Abrams did not marry, he was a perfect gentleman in behavior and a trustworthy worker.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday evening, August 9, at 7:30 in the Ramsey-Richards funeral home. The Rev. L. F. Davis conducted the service. Burial was made Wednesday morning in the Adair cemetery.
