Death of Mrs. Q. C. Bird

Mrs. Q. C. Bird, one of the early settlers of Madison county, died last week at Overton, Nebr., and her body was brought to Orient, Iowa, for burial beside her husband, who passed away just four years preceeding the death of Mrs. Bird. She is survived by two sons, J. W. of Overton, Nebraska and W. B. of Des Moines.

Mrs. Bird, whose maiden name was Armstrong, was born in Holmes county, Ohio, May 13, 1829 and was united in marriage to Quintles C. Bird in 1848. They removed from Madison county a number of years ago to spend their declining years with their son.
