Iva Tompkins Giddings, 88, of Yreka, Calif., died Aug. 5, 1994 in her home. A memorial service in Yreka will be followed by burial at the Winterset Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 14, 1905 to Ernest and Hattie H. Tompkins. She married Herbert Giddings in 1933. She was a graduate of Winterset High School. She taught at a rural and was also a practicing RN until retiring in 1972 and moving to Yreka.

Surviving relatives include her husband; one daughter, Donna McRay of Lancaster, Calif.; one sister, Mabel Klaaren; one brother, Vernon Tompkins; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
