Funeral services for Earl Crawford, 87, were held Sat. April 6 at First United Methodist Church, Winterset, with the Rev. Clarence Lautt officiating. Crawford died April 2 at Laurie Nursing Home in Laurie, Mo.
A lifetime Madison County resident until one year ago when he moved to Missouri, he was born January 7, 1904 in Madison County to Charles and Sarah Ella (Reed) Crawford. He married Hazelle Almina Robert February 26, 1927 in Adel. He was a retired farmer, a member of First United Methodist Church, Oddfellows Lodge of Winterset, and a past member of the Farm Bureau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, an infant son, and a brother.
Survivors include a daughter, Joan Wilson of Sunrise Beach, Mo.; a brother, Cash Crawford of Winterset; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.
Burial was in Penn Center Cemetery in Madison County. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
