Funeral services for Robert Herman Clark, a former well-known resident of Winterset, were held last Saturday, Feb. 27, from the Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.
Mr. Clark died Feb. 24 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 74.
A native of Indianola, he was a graduate of Simpson College. He came to Winterset in 1935 as a coach and teacher. Following his teaching career, he was associated with a D-X service station and a car dealership in this community.
He was a resident of West Des Moines, Iowa for the past 25 years. He was a retired assistant director in the automobile dealers license bureau for the state of Iowa
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two sons, Robert M. of St. Louis, Mo., and Richard of West Des Moines; a daughter, Elizabeth J. Ward of Greencastle, Mo.; a brother, Roland of Des Moines; three sisters, Evelyn Butterfield of Indianola, Elizabeth Stoddard of Reno, Nev., and Margaret Beavers of Concord, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Burial was in I.O.O.F. cemetery at Indianola.
