W. Ed Clark, Winterset

W. Ed Clark, 80, of Winterset, died July 4, 1994 at the Winterset Care Center North. Funeral services will be Thurs., July 7 at 9:30 a.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church in Winterset. The Rev. David Bauer will officate with burial at the Winterset Cemetery. Visitation will be today, July 6 from noon-9 p.m. with family visitation from 6-8 p.m.

He was born Oct. 11, 1913 in Winterset to Walter William and Berteen (Snyder) Clark. He married Margaret F. Wilkinson in Nashua on Sept. 21, 1934. For thirty years, he was owner/operator of Clarks Television Service in Winterset. He wa production supervisor at the Madisonian and for 30 years and Lin O type operator at the Madisonian for 47 years. He was a lifetime resident of Winterset and a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. He ws a past volunteer of the Winterset Fire Department and a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 53 of Winterset.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Surviving relatives include his wife; two sons, Calvin Clark and Lynn of Sunrise Beach, Mo., and Brian Clark and wife Jacque of Kansas City, Mo.; one daughter, Wanda Hirl and husband Elvin of Clinton; two sister, Marjorie Mantz of Mission, Texas and Marabelle Wilson of Winterset; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
