Wednesday, January 17, 1973E. A. Stroeber Dies at 81
Edward Adam Stroeber, aged 81, died Jan. 11 in Adair County Memorial Hospital, where he had been hospitalized since August 28, 1972.
Mr. Stroeber was a retired farmer and stockman who made his home north of Macksburg in Madison county since 1932. He was born in Adair county on June 21, 1891 and married Hazel Boyer in Creston, Iowa on Nov. 10, 1917.
Mr. Stroeber was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife and four children; Edward W. Stroeber of Dallas Center, Iowa, Robert E. Stroeber of West Des Moines, Mrs. Mary Schulz of Orient, Iowa and Mrs. Betty Johnson of Stanberry, Missouri. Also surviving Mr. Stroeber are ten grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 14, at 2:00 p.m. from Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church southwest of Winterset. Burial was conducted at Graceland cemetery, Creston, Iowa. The Rev. William Grant officiated.
