Funeral services for Ollie Van Rossum, 83, were held Sat. May 11 at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. John Shaull officiating. She died May 9 at Bethesda Care Center, where she was a resident.
A lifetime Madison County resident, she was born to Isaac Frances and Nancy Myrtle (Cornelison) Foreman June 7, 1907 in Lorimor. She married James Van Rossum April 14, 1929 in Barney. She was a homemaker, a member of Lorimor Baptist Church and the Happy Hour Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother.
Surviving are a daughter, Dora Lou Guion and husband, Robert, and a sister, Wilma Goodman and husband, Bun, all of Winterset; a sister-in-law, Orpha Foreman of Macksburg; two grandchildren, Rusty Guion and Tim Guion and wife, Tami, all of Winterset; and one great-grandchild.
Burial was in Winterset Cemetery. Memorials may be made to V.F.W. of Winterset.

WINTERSET, IA. – Ollie Van Rossum, 83, of Winterset died Thursday at Bethesda Care Center of complications of Parkinson’s disease. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Collins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Winterset Cemetery.
Mrs. Van Rossum, a homemaker, was born in Lorimor and lived in Winterset most of her life.
She is survived by a daughter, Dora Lou Guion, and a sister, Wilma Goodwin, both of Winterset; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Winterset Veterans of Foreign Wars.
