Death of John Parkins

John Parkins died last Friday night at his home one mile west of Winterset. His illness, which extended over a period of about two years was from cancer.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. J. S. Corkey, of the Presbyterian church, were held Sunday at the North River U. B. church and burial at the cemetery nearby. He was for many years a resident of Jefferson township and a number of years ago, moved to a small farm just west of this city.
