DEATH OF W. E. HUFFMAN

W. E. Huffman, former Madison county resident, died at the home of his daughter,. Mrs. W. W. Maxwell of Wick, on last Thursday. He was 62 years old. For the past 18 months he had been confined to bed.

Mr. Huffman had spent his entire life in Iowa, with the exception of a year in Texas. He was born near Truro on March 11, 1874, the youngest son of Thomas and Elizabeth Huffman.

He was married to Ida Pearle Howell on July 4, 1901. They were the parents of seven children, two of the daughters dying in infancy. The surviving children are: Edgar Huffman of Corona, California; Mrs. Maxwell; Mrs. Edith Munson of Newton; Carroll Huffman of Diagonal; and Fon Huffman of Shanghai, China. His wife died in 1923.

He also leaves six grandchildren; a brother, S. G. Huffman of Truro; and two sisters, Mrs. Allie Lee of Afton and Mrs. Ida Barnett of River Forest, Illinois.
