Services for Lucille Hanson, 81, Winterset, who died April 5 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held Friday, April 8, at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Doris Kinson officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Winterset July 4, 1906, she was the daughter of Walter W. and Berteen Snyder Clark. On Dec. 24, 1925, she was married to Dale Hanson in Winterset.

Mrs. Hanson was a lifetime resident of Winterset, a member of the First Christian Church and the Iowa Press Association. She was a bookkeeper and newswriter at the Winterset Madisonian, being employed there 51 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Hewitt of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; W. Ed Clark of Winterset; sisters, Marabelle Wilson of Winterset and Marjorie Mantz of Mission, Texas; two granddaughters and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1962, her parents and a daughter.
