Death of Saml. Fosher

Samuel Fosher, a long time resident of this county, died Sunday about noon at his home in Winterset. Something over a year ago, he was stricken with paralysis from which he never fully recovered, though he was able to be about and to perform some labor. On Saturday, he was stricken with the second attack of the disease, and death followed about twenty four hours later.

The funeral services were held at the Baptist church north of town on Monday afternoon. A short obituary will be found elsewhere in this paper.

Obituary--Saml. Fosher

Samuel Fosher, son of Christian and Emily Esther Fosher, was born in Putnam county, Indiana, near Greencastle, May 27, 1847 and died at his home in Winterset, Oct. 20, 1912, aged 65 years, 8 months and 8 days.

He was united in marriage to Jennie Hill, Oct. 12, 1871. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Alice Locke, and John and Will Fosher, all living in and near Winterset, who with Hubert, an adopted son, were present at his bedside to the last. Mrs. Fosher died Dec. 24, 1893.

He was united in marriage to Alma Retta Farlow, June 4, 1896. To this union was born one child, who died in infancy. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife and four children. His body was taken to the Baptist church north of town, Monday, where the funeral service was conducted by Rev. L. F. Davis. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
