Daniel McConnellee was born in Ashland county, Ohio, April 8, 1841 and died Thursday morning, Jan. 6, 1916, aged 74 years, 7 months and 28 days.

He came with his parents to Madison county, Iowa, in 1856 and located on Hoosier Prairie, where he lived until 1902 when he moved to Winterset. He was united in marriage to Miss Hannah Gearhard Nov. 11, 1893, and to this union one son was born, Raymond. One brother survives him, Archibald McConnellee, of Marshalltown, Iowa.

He was converted and joined the United Presbyterian church in 1874 and has been a faithful member of the church ever since.

He leaves to mourn his loss, the wife and son and one brother, who have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.
