Claude Egy, Winterset

Services for Claude Philo Egy, 75, rural Winterset, who died March 12 at Iowa Methodist Medical center, were held Saturday, March 15, at the First Christian Church with Rev. Bob Brite officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Madison County on Nov. 11, 1910, he was the son of David and Mertie Rehard Egy. He was a retired farmer, had spent most of his lifetime in Madison County and was a member of First Christian Church.

On Feb. 25, 1935, he was married to Maxine Painter in Winterset.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Phyllis Bauer of Des Moines; brothers, Joe and Ray of Winterset; a sister, Hazel Case of Newton and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
